Some train services in the south of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region were stopped due to the earthquake in Tajikistan.

The railway agency of China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, after the severe earthquake in Tajikistan, started an emergency response plan and stopped the train services between Aksu and Kashgar.

Currently, personnel from the railway agency have been sent to the relevant places to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the lines, bridges, tunnels and signal equipment.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 8.37 occurred in Tajikistan at 7,2 today.

The earthquake was also felt in the Kashgar and Atuş regions of China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
