8 DYK points were established by the Ministry of National Education to support the 12th and 510th grade students in the preparation process for the exams in the regions affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş.

Teachers who teach on EBA TV and are textbook writers will serve in the courses. Measurement and evaluation centers located in 71 provinces will also support teachers who take part in DYKs voluntarily.

The positions of DYKs in the earthquake zone can be accessed digitally.

DYK points created in the provinces affected by the earthquake were added to the dhgm.meb.gov.tr/dyk website and their locations were indicated on the map.

Stating that they have created a platform where students can access the location of the nearest DYK point in digital environment, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said:

“Although we have not yet started education in our 10 provinces, we have set up 416 psychosocial support tents with the approach of 'continue education under all conditions'. We have mobilized all our means to continue education in the earthquake zone and to support our children academically and psychosocially, with our devoted teachers who put their hearts out and work hard in the most difficult days. This week, we are opening support and training courses for all our 10th and 393th grade students at 8 locations across 12 provinces. On Wednesday, March 1, we are launching courses at 10 DYK training points in 510 provinces affected by the earthquake.”

Stating that the textbooks and supplementary resources needed by 10th and 8th grade students in 12 provinces have been reprinted, Özer said, “As of March 11, we will deliver approximately 820 million 918 thousand 1 books and supplementary resources to all our students. I would like to express my gratitude to all the teachers who contributed.” said.
