On the 108th anniversary of the Sarıkamış Operation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports will organize a Loyalty March for the Martyrs of Sarıkamış with the slogan "We are always on the same track". In the Ministry's traditional "Sarıkamış Martyrs' Commemoration Programme", thousands of young people will march for their martyrs with the slogan "We are always on the same track".
Organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Commemoration of the Martyrs of Sarıkamış will be held on 6 – 8 January 2023. Young people will commemorate their martyrs on the 108th anniversary with events that will last for three days. Minister Kasapoğlu will go to Sarıkamış with the Eastern Express this year.
“In the footsteps of our ancestors, we will make our homeland live forever with our youth”
Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu stated that this year, as every year, on the 108th anniversary of the Sarıkamış Operation, thousands of young people who will come to Sarıkamış from all over Turkey will commemorate their ancestors and glorious history. Noting that the young people will march for the martyrs of Sarıkamış by saying, "We are always on the same track," Minister Kasapoğlu said, "We will keep our homeland alive with our youth forever, in the footsteps of our ancestors who made this land our homeland. It is our duty to work day and night with all our might to carry this country to the future, as well as to give our lives for this country like our ancestors when necessary," he said.
Serdar Kılıç will follow the footsteps of the ancestors with the youth
Within the scope of the Sarıkamış Martyrs' Commemoration Program, TV producer, athlete, trainer Serdar Kılıç, unlike previous years, will walk the path of the 1914th Army Corps on the longest and coldest days of December 10, with three young people he will take with him. Serdar Kılıç and the young people accompanying him, who will arrive in Sarıkamış on Friday, January 6, will make documentary shots and share these images with the audience on TRT screens.
Dinner in Honor of Martyrs' and Veterans' Families
On Friday, January 6, the first day of the Sarıkamış Martyrs' Commemoration Programme, a meal will be given in honor of the families of martyrs and veterans. On the same day, mawlid will be taught at Kazım Karabekir Mosque.

After the Mevlid-i Sharif program, the participants who will gather at the July 15 Democracy Martyrs Square will carry out a march with torches. The march with torches, which will start at 19.30, will end at the Upper Sarıkamış Martyrs' Cemetery.
A theater show will be staged after the torchlight walk from Sarıkamış Square to the Museum and Moon and Star Area.
On January 7, the second day of the program, the events will continue with a documentary gala show.
'We are always on the same track'
On Sunday, January 8, the last day of the program, a Memorial Walk will be held with the slogan "We are always on the same track". Participants who will gather at the Kızılçubuk Summit area will take a walk and the parade will end at the Crescent and Yıldız Ceremony Area. After a moment of silence, the National Anthem, and the laying of a wreath, protocol speeches will be made.
The Sarıkamış Martyrs' Commemoration Program will end with the SOLOTÜRK and Steel Wings show to be held at the Ay Yıldız Ceremony Hall.
