Yunus Ensari was born in 1919 in the Ahlat district of Bitlis. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Forestry in 1943. As a member of the Turkish Foresters Association, he has actively fulfilled his membership duties for 1944 years since 73 and contributed to the corporate identity of the association. In addition, he is the chairman of the board of directors of important organizations in the field of nature and environmental protection, and he is a manager and member in non-governmental organizations.
While working at the Ministry of Forestry, Yunus Ensari received training and specialization in Life Insurance and Actuary. He retired from the Ministry of Forestry in 1972. He founded AH Limited Company and went to America and using the mortality tables he brought from there, he established MİMTEM GROUP SİGORTASI, which is a wide and comprehensive Occupational Group Insurance in Turkey. He invested a part of his income in the education of children and made them have a job and a profession.

He served as the President of the Ankara Child Friends Association and provided the young people of Ahlat to stay and study in this association. He served as a member of the board of directors and chaired in many associations, professional organizations, sports clubs and charities. There are more than 50 awards, achievement packages and commendations that he has received from various institutions and organizations.
He is still the Chairman of the Turkish Nature Conservation Association (TTKD), which is Turkey's oldest and most well-established nature organization. He is the owner of the SASAKAVA AWARD, the world's largest environmental award given by the United Nations.
