Toyota Turkey completed the year 2022 with new records. Closing the last year with 49 sales and a 937 percent market share, Toyota drew attention with its sales performance, especially with light commercial vehicles.

Announcing the name Toyota Professional globally for the first time in 2019, the brand soon became a voice in the light commercial vehicle world in Turkey. Carrying Toyota quality and services to the light commercial vehicle segment, the brand crowned this success with the highest light commercial vehicle sales record ever in 2022.

Having sold 2022 light commercial vehicles in Turkey in 11, Toyota increased its light commercial sales by 661 percent compared to the previous year. In addition, Toyota, which increased its market share by 74,3 points, took its place among the top 2,3 brands selling light commercial vehicles with a share of 6,1 percent.

“Invincible Hilux remains the star of its segment”

Toyota's legendary Hilux model continues to achieve great success with its latest generation, which combines its usual invincible character with more technology and comfort. Toyota sold 7 Hilux units in the January-December period, thus breaking the record for the highest annual Hilux sales ever. Hilux's previous record was 707 units in 2016.

With this sales performance, Toyota Hilux managed to be the leader in its segment throughout the year. In addition, Hilux represented about 65 percent of Toyota's light commercial sales.

In addition, Proace City and Proace City Cargo models belonging to the Toyota Professional product range completed 2022 with record numbers. Proace City drew attention with 3 thousand 81 sales and Proace City Cargo with 873 sales.

“Toyota's best selling model is Corolla Sedan”

Toyota's most preferred passenger car model throughout 2022 was the Corolla Sedan with 30 units. While the Corolla Sedan was followed by the Corolla Cross with 948 units, 2 units of the C-HR Hybrid model, 731 units of the Yaris model and 1561 units of the Yaris Cross model were sold.
