Tour of Antalya powered by AKRA will be held between 9-12 February 2023. The theme of 2023 was determined as "Let's protect our forests together for a green future" to support afforestation efforts in the town of Manavgat-Oymapınar, which was destroyed by forest fires.
The foundations of the “Tour of Antalya powered by AKRA Manavgat Memorial Forest” will be laid in the Oymapınar town of Manavgat, which is defined as the “Green Canyon” and “Liar Paradise”, which was destroyed in the forest fires in the summer of 2021. Under the leadership of the Antalya Governor's Office, with the support of the Ministry of Forestry Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry and all the sponsors of the Tour of Antalya powered by AKRA, saplings will be planted in the commemorative forest for all cyclists participating in the race and members of the media following the race. World-famous cyclists will start from the natural wonder of Manavgat, Oymapınar dam lake, and will invite everyone to take action by pedaling for a green future.
A session of AKRA Talks, organized as part of the Tour of Antalya, which brings together the world of cycling and sports in Antalya every February, will be a panel on “Sustainability, the climate problem and the importance of cycling for a green future”. In addition, one of the leader's jerseys will be positioned as a "Green Future".
