The fourth evaluation meeting within the scope of the “Reuniting with Education” project, which was organized to include students who are not registered in the education system, through the follow-up system, was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer.

Provincial and district national education directors of Adıyaman, Denizli, Gümüşhane, Hakkari, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, Eskişehir, Kars, Osmaniye and Samsun and Ministry administrators attended the fourth meeting of the “Reuniting with Education” project held at Gölbaşı Mogan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Application Hotel.

Speaking at the evaluation meeting, Minister Özer emphasized that it is a very critical point to follow up and include students who do not continue in the education system with the “Reuniting with Education” project. Expressing that the number of students who do not attend school is gradually decreasing and the schooling rates have reached the top, Özer thanked all the administrators who embraced this process.

Pointing out that with the project, an atmosphere was created where the Ministry, provincial and district administrators could come together to discuss and evaluate the problems and demands, Özer reminded that the meetings started with the 8 provinces with the highest number of unregistered students in the education system. Özer said, “Then we saw that it was very productive. Hopefully, we will gather all 81 provinces here every week and consult together.” he said.

Expressing that the suggestions and evaluations of the provincial and district administrators will be taken at the meeting, Özer noted that the efficient and successful policies of the Ministry in 2022 were implemented together with the contributions from the field. Özer instructed that the necessary works should be carried out meticulously in terms of providing access to education for students outside the education system, opening all village schools until February and expanding the scope of free meals.

Özer continued his words as follows: “Thank God, stop reaching the target in all areas we set ourselves targets for 2022, we have exceeded the target by a significant amount. Thank you all for your contributions and hard work. Of course, we still have a long way to go, we have a long way to go. We will continue them step by step by listening to each other, talking and communicating with each other, God willing."

Provincial and district national education directors also shared their opinions and suggestions by explaining the activities carried out in their own regions.
