Except for the years 1961-1990, when Istiklal Street was opened to vehicle traffic, the tram no. 1928, which has been serving on the Taksim-Tünel line since 410, has been the subject of many movies, books and songs, has been repainted in its original color, its interior maintenance and engine maintenance have been done. .
The nostalgic tram met the intense interest of Istanbulites on its first run after being renovated. Istanbulites and tourists took many souvenir photos with the nostagic tram.
In fact, the maintenance and renewal of other wagons will be completed by IETT in 2023.
