Within the scope of the Portable Electronic Attack System Project signed between the Presidency of Defense Industries and Meteksan Defense Company, the acceptance of the MERTER Backpack Type Tactical Field Electronic Attack System, which was designed and produced entirely with national means, was completed and delivered to the security forces.
MERTER Backpack Tactical Field Electronic Attack System; It was designed and developed as an Electronic Attack (ET) system to be used in the communication band to prevent the communication of the target elements from a long distance. The system, which was developed to meet different operational needs, can be used in a fixed configuration on a tripod/mast or in a Single-Er configuration with a carrying apparatus on the back, covering the entire communication band.
The system can be controlled by a smart tablet or computer while carrying out the directed electronic attack with its high-gain directional and co-directional antennas. The system, which can be fed with its own batteries, can also be operated over the city network.

Erdal Torun, Deputy General Manager of Meteksan Defense Communication Systems, said that MERT and MERTER were designed according to the needs of the user in order to meet the new generation electronic attack needs, and emphasized the following: “The limited programmability of the existing EH systems, low bandwidth receiver structure, low We have completely eliminated disadvantages such as mobility with this system. In addition, we have provided higher efficiency distances to protect Mehmetçik from IED traps. In the design of the system; primarily by taking advantage of the user experience, ease of use and portability were taken into account. The system has unique features with its completely domestic and national design, software and hardware compatible with developing and changing technology.”
