A contract for the export of Bayraktar TB2 was signed between Baykar and the Kuwait Ministry of Defense. In the process that has been going on since July 2019, the winner of the competition in which important companies from America, Europe and China took place was the Turkish company Baykar. A contract worth 2 million dollars was signed with the Kuwait Ministry of Defense for Bayraktar TB370, which has proven itself in the international arena. Thus, the number of countries with which export contracts were signed for Bayraktar TB2 became 28.
370 MILLION DOLLARS AGREEMENT SIGNED
Bayraktar TB2 SİHA, which was developed nationally and originally by Baykar, has achieved an export success. With the agreement signed with Baykar and the Kuwait Ministry of Defense, the number of countries with which export contracts were signed for Bayraktar TB2 SİHA became 28. Baykar started 2023 with an export contract of 370 million dollars signed with the Kuwait Ministry of Defense.
IT LEFT AMERICAN, EUROPEAN AND CHINESE COMPANIES
The process between Baykar and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense started in 2019. Bayraktar TB2, Turkey's national SİHA, was the winner of the competitive process in which American, European and Chinese companies also took part. Bayraktar TB2 SİHA had a great success in its demo flight in Kuwait in July 2019. By flying for 27 hours and 3 minutes uninterruptedly in difficult geographical and climatic conditions such as high temperatures and sandstorms, he broke the record for staying in the air, which was his own at that time.
A RECORD EXPORT OF $1.18 BILLION
Since the beginning of the UAV R&D process in 2003, Baykar has earned 75% of all its revenues from exports. In 2021, it became the export leader of the defense and aerospace industry, according to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). Baykar, whose export rate was 2022% in the contracts signed in 99.3, made exports of 1.18 billion dollars. Baykar, which is the biggest exporter of the defense and aerospace industry, has a turnover of 2022 billion dollars in 1.4.
