Intense Interest in Keçiören Municipality Rob-School Robot Competition

The 'Line Follower Robot Competition' with a prize pool of 100 thousand TL, organized by Keçiören Municipality TEKNOMER, received intense applications. 244 teams and 732 competitors applied to the competition organized under the name of 'TEKNOMER Rob-School Robot Competition' at primary, secondary, high school and university levels in Ankara. While applications at primary, secondary and high school levels were made by the school administration or teachers, applications at the university level were made individually and as a team.

Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok, who said that they were happy with the high demand for applications from Keçiören and Ankara in general, said, “We are preparing our children and youth for the future in our Technology Center. In order to guide them to science and technology, we both provide trainings and reward them with incentive gifts. The interest shown in our Rob-School Robot Competition is the most concrete indication of our children's and young people's interest in science and technology. We established TEKNOMER, where our young people will reveal their potential, and organized important training programs and competitions in a short time. We will continue to be soldiers for our generations that will benefit our state and nation.” said.

HOW WILL THE COMPETITION PROCESS?

In the TEKNOMER Rob-School Robot Competition, whose application deadline is December 31, 2022, a meeting will be held with the advisory teachers of the schools that applied first, to inform them about the process. In this process, for primary and secondary schools participating in the competition, YouTube An online training program will be implemented. Contestants who follow the lessons to be broadcast on 2-9-16-23 January 2023 will be able to ask their questions at the zoom meeting to be held every weekend. In February, when the trainings will be completed, 50 contestants who succeeded in the exam will be presented with a 'line follower robot kit'. The Rob-School Robot Competition will be held on April 26, 2023, and the champion of the competition with a prize of 100 thousand TL will be determined and the awards will be presented with a ceremony.
