Underlining that the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which is among the mega projects not only of Turkey but also of the world, was put into the service of the citizens with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 18, Karaismailoğlu said, “All the projects we have implemented as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure have a great share in the future of our country. we are proud to have. Our projects, works and services pave the way for our beautiful homeland, which is advancing with firm steps towards the Turkish Century. In the last 20 years, we have achieved many successes in the field of transportation and communication. We have brought many giant works such as the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge to the trade and tourism of our country. Undoubtedly, 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Malkara-Çanakkale Highway are among the most exceptional projects implemented by our ministry. In addition to the benefits it provides and will provide to our country, it is an engineering success that we offer to the service of the world. The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, the project of the firsts and the greatest, went down in history as the suspension bridge with the highest towers in the world with the 18-meter architectural cannonballs placed on the 16-meter towers.

Emphasizing that they have taken important steps not only in highways but also in the field of aviation, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu stated that with Tokat New Airport, which has an annual capacity of 2 million passengers, they have taken Tokat's development mobilization to further points.

Underlining that Rize-Artvin Airport is among the few projects in the world, Karaismailoğlu pointed out that Rize-Artvin Airport, which is built on the sea fill, is not an example in Europe. Karaismailoğlu continued his statement as follows;

Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu stated that the annual passenger capacity of Amasya Merzifon Airport has been increased to over 700 thousand passengers with the new terminal building, and that the flights from Merzifon Airport to Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport are taking place.

Karaismailoğlu stated that they implemented the Malatya Ring Road Project, which reduces the traffic density on the existing road passing through the city center of Malatya, and that the 26-kilometer 1st Section was put into service, and said, “The Phaselis Tunnel, which we also opened in Antalya, consists of 1305 meters long 2×2 lane double tubes. The road route was shortened by 2 kilometers and the travel time was shortened by 10 minutes. This tunnel only saves time and fuel and saves our country 31 million liras per year, reducing carbon emissions by 1,8 thousand tons.”

TRAVEL TIME BETWEEN ZONGULDAK-KILIMLI IS DOWN TO 5 MINUTES

Zonguldak-Kilimli Road Prof. Dr. Şaban Teoman underlined that the Duralı Tunnels have shortened the distance between Zonguldak and Kilimli by 4,5 kilometers. Emphasizing that they have completed the Kaynarca-Karasu road and put it into the service of the citizens, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu stated that with the completion of the Izmit-Kandıra-Kaynarca Road Project, the route will be shortened by 15 kilometers and the travel time will be reduced from 60 minutes to 40 minutes.
