But unfortunately, our agenda is full of very sad and empty works. Saying, "People who make politics an aim, not a tool, they poison a country's life," said İmamoğlu. We are people who see politics, political party processes as a 'tool' for service, for their country. People with a purpose; they see politics as everything and the party as everything. As a nation with a centuries-old state tradition, we are strongly against it. The main thing is our state, the main thing is our nation. Together, we will keep him upright," he said.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) opened the 54th library within the body of the institution in Bayrampaşa Cevatpaşa Neighborhood. Cevatpaşa Psychological Counseling Center, located in the same building, was put into service simultaneously with the library named after the late Sâmiha Ayverdi, who brought important works to Turkish literature and spent her life in cultural transmission. IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlumade a speech at the opening for both services. Emphasizing that they are in a moment that meets real needs and offers the right jobs, İmamoğlu said, “I wish we could talk about development, improvement, world of thought, literature, culture, art, technology and industry in every moment of our country; If Turkey's agenda was full of them. At that time, we can really feel that the future of our country creates and provides a more secure process. But unfortunately, our agenda; But the agenda of our country, but our city, but our people, is very sad and full of empty works, so to speak.”

“IT CAN ALSO HAVE BOTTOM HEROES TO REPLACE REAL HEROES”

Emphasizing the importance of the portrait of Samiha Ayverdi, drawn by IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, who spoke before him, İmamoğlu said, “Imagine, it shows us how precious people our world actually has, and that we have a magnificent audience, with its women and men, who actually have footprints in the past of the society that exists today. ” he said. Citing the book, published by the Istanbul Bookstore, in which the success stories of 40 women are told, as an example, İmamoğlu said, “His name is not known much, it is not understood by our citizens, they have not met, but when you look at it, there are magnificent heroes in our country's past. Sometimes there are empty heroes who take the place of those heroes. I personally hope that; As a mayor who serves this beautiful, ancient city, I always pray to be a worthy person for these beautiful people who truly benefit our nation and are well known for their services, and I make great efforts to catch up with this process in my own mood.” Reminding that they increased the number of libraries belonging to the institution from 20 to 54 after taking over the duty of IMM Presidency, İmamoğlu said, “I am proud of the fact that we continue the number of libraries more than doubled, to almost 60 at the moment.”

“WHERE TO GO CITIZENS…”

Emphasizing that the Psychological Counseling Center they opened together with the library is also an important service, İmamoğlu said, “Psychological counseling centers are one of the health areas that the people of the busy city of Istanbul and our country with a busy agenda most need right now. At this point, I especially want to increase the number. Because wherever I go, if I mingle with the citizens, in the market, in the bazaar, in a crowd; It is a need that our people demand for themselves, for their children, but for their families. Such areas, whose number we have increased, also contribute to the improvement of our Istanbul. I think it is a good meeting to have the psychological counseling center and the library side by side here. Because, as much as one has a medical curative side, the other has a scientific curative side," he said.

“WE ARE STRONGLY AGAINST THOSE WHO PUT THE STATE IN DIFFICULTY”

Providing a summary of the services provided by IMM in Bayrampaşa, İmamoğlu said, “People who make politics an aim rather than a tool, poison the life of a country. We are; We are people who see politics, political party processes as a 'tool' for service, for their country. People with a purpose; they see politics as everything and the party as everything. In fact, at the point we have reached today, the party state and the party means everything. Unfortunately, this puts the state in trouble. However, as a nation with a centuries-old state tradition, we are strongly against it. The main thing is our state, the main thing is our nation. Together, we will keep him upright," he said.
