Holiday Traffic Starts For Chinese Traditional Spring Festival

Holiday traffic for the traditional Spring Festival in China started today. Millions of Chinese will travel during the period of the world's greatest internal migration, known as Chunyun in Chinese.

According to the information given by the Ministry of Transport and Transport of China, the number of trips to be made during the Chunyun period, which will last until February 15, is expected to reach 99,5 billion 2 million, an increase of 95 percent compared to last year.

In a statement made by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, it is estimated that by 2023, air transport will reach 75 percent of the pre-epidemic level.

The Chinese government recommended taking the necessary individual measures to reduce the risk of infection for those with chronic diseases, pregnant women and children during the Chunyun period.

The government has recommended that travelers using public transport such as planes and trains wear masks while traveling.
