EIF Energy Congress and Fair will be held in Gaziantep for the first time outside of Istanbul in 16 years. The honorary president of the event, which will be designed with a focus on solar energy investments, will be Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin.
Before the fair to be held in Gaziantep on April 26-28, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Fatma Şahin, met with Domino Fuarcılık AŞ. He met with Murat Dilek, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mayor Fatma Şahin, in her speech at the meeting, stated that they have been working since 2014 to increase the institutional capacity of the municipality and said:
“GBB Enerji AŞ within the body of our municipality is unique throughout Turkey. It is not possible to make progress on issues such as renewable energy or environmental projects without incorporation. With such institutionalization models, you also have the opportunity to act quickly. Our approach to this issue also gives direction to local governments. Therefore, it is very important for us that the EIF Energy Congress and Fair will be held in Gaziantep for the first time in 16 years.”
The event to be held at the Middle East Expo Center will be designed with a focus on solar energy investments. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and GBB Enerji AŞ will open two stands at the fair, and there will be 250 domestic and foreign investor companies in the field of energy, as well as participants from countries such as Germany, China and Portugal.
While the factory owners, agricultural operators and purchasing officials working in all related industrial establishments are expected to attend the event as visitors, it is estimated that the number of participants in the fair will be around 15 thousand.
