Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu experienced the accessibility of Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport Metro Line with disabled citizens. Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, met with disabled people and individuals with reduced mobility at the "Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport Metro". Making a statement, Karaismailoğlu said that as the Ministry, their primary mission is to give all citizens the right to benefit from the projects equally. Karaismailoğlu stated that they are doing important works in order to remove the obstacles in front of disabled people and to encourage their participation in life.
“We are working to ensure that all our citizens with different needs have services and accessibility opportunities designed for them. We started the 'Orange Desk Service Point' applications at High Speed Train stations for our disabled citizens to plan their travels, buy tickets, reach stations and stations, get on the vehicles, travel comfortably and comfortably, and return to their homes comfortably at the end of the trip. In 2022, we expanded it to other types of transportation as well. We aimed to create an accessible transportation system for all. We are also preparing to launch the 'Turkey Card' application, which allows our citizens with reduced mobility to benefit from public transportation vehicles in different cities with a single card. We implemented our metro line to meet the needs of passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility without encountering any obstacles. With our project, we offer an accessible service to everyone.”
WE ARE BRINGING 'THE BEST'S AND 'FIRST'S TO ISTANBUL AIRPORT METRO
Karaismailoğlu stated that the Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport Metro line is the longest metro line that was tendered and built at one time, and emphasized that 10 tunnel boring machines were used in a project for the first time in order to complete the line as soon as possible. Expressing that Turkey's fastest metro vehicles with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour will also be used on this line, Karaismailoğlu explained the details of the project. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu said, “In the progress of the TBM; We broke excavation records with 65,5 meters per day, 306 meters per week and 233 meters per month. Turkey's fastest metro vehicles with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour will also be used on this line. Within the scope of this project, we also built Gayrettepe Station, which is the deepest metro station in Turkey with 72 meters. We implemented the smart tunnel concept for the first time in the world's subways in this project. Thus, we brought a new technology to tunnel fire safety. With the support of our Ministry and in cooperation with Aselsan and TÜBİTAK, the signaling system, which was developed for the first time with domestic and national means, will also be used in this metro line. Our line; It has the capacity to pass through 8 stations in Beşiktaş, Şişli, Kağıthane, Eyüpsultan and Arnavutköy districts and serve 800 thousand passengers daily. With the opening of the line, to Istanbul Airport, which is the world's largest and most important global transfer center; It can be reached in 24 minutes from Kağıthane, 12 minutes from Göktürk, 45 minutes from Esenler, 41 minutes from Taksim, 33 minutes from Zincirlikuyu and 4 minutes from 35. Levent. Reaching our country's door to the world has become easy and comfortable in such a short time. To offer this comfort, to realize one of the most valuable projects of Turkey and Istanbul, will be granted to those of us who work with the love of serving their nation, as it has been in the last 20 years. This pride was given to the AK Party cadres, who stood by their nation, shoulder to shoulder with them in difficult times, and stood by their citizens not only in good times but also in difficult times. In the first stage, our line is integrated with Mahmutbey metro in Kağıthane. After about 4 months, we will integrate this line with Metrobus and Hacıosman-Yenikapı Metro Zincirlikuyu Stations. By completing another stage of approximately 3,5 kilometers, we will increase our line from 34 kilometers to 37,5 kilometers.

Noting that for the last 20 years, they have continued to work in every corner of Turkey with nearly 700 thousand colleagues, Karaismailoğlu said, “We are working to ensure that our every move comes to life in the right way at the right time. On Sunday, we will open our line together with the presence of our President.
