Metropolitan's 'Ankara Heritage Construction Site Tours' Continues

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to sign projects that protect the history and culture of the city. “Ankara Heritage Construction Site Tours”, which ABB has brought to life in order to revive tourism and promote the history of the city, continues. Archeopark, Roman Theater and Ankara Castle construction sites, which are under restoration, were toured with guides and information was given about the works.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality opened the Archeopark, Roman Theater and Ankara Castle Street Rehabilitation, restoration and conservation work areas to the visitors of the capital in order to promote the history of the city and to revive tourism.

Citizens, who showed great interest in the "Ankara Heritage Site Trips" application, visited the Arkeopark, Roman Theater and Ankara Castle Street Rehabilitation construction sites on site and received information during the free tour.

TRIPS WILL CONTINUE

Speaking about the trips organized, Sinem Çakmak, Director of the Cultural Heritage Protection Branch of the Department of Cultural and Natural Heritage of ABB, gave the following information:

“We are with our citizens in order to ensure the continuation of our construction site visits. We started our trips for the first time in the summer months. We got quite a lot of requests. This time, we are with our citizens. We give information about our works at the Archeopark and the Roman Theatre, and then about our Street Rehabilitation works at the Ankara Castle. We receive requests from many professional groups and young people to see these fields. We think it is an important program for our citizens to hear about the work we do in order to protect our cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations. We plan to continue these trips. Citizens who want to participate in our trips can apply on ABB's website.
