ABB City Theaters and Youth Park Cultural Center Renovation

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has started renovation and renovation works at the ABB City Theaters and Youth Park Cultural Center, which hosts the cultural and artistic events of the capital.

It is aimed that the renovation works carried out by the Department of Science Affairs will be completed by the new culture and arts season.

The teams of the Department of Science Affairs; He started the renovation works in the Cultural Center building located in the Youth Park, one of the first urban parks in the history of the Republic. Within the scope of the studies; The entrance doors of the building will be renewed, all the seats of the main hall will be removed and a stepped seating arrangement will be provided with steel profiles, all materials, equipment and coatings of all wet areas will be removed and the roof of the building will be renewed.

Renovation work has also started in the ABB City Theater building, which brings art lovers together with beautiful plays.

Within the scope of the said project; The theater building entrance doors, offices next to the entrance, security and ticket sales counters, the building hall stage, the deformed wooden floor coverings, the floor and wall coverings in the building artist, backstage and rehearsal rooms will be renewed. The hall lighting, sound and light system will be renewed and made functional.

The works at the Youth Park Cultural Center and City Theatre, which have an important place in the history of the city, are planned to be completed in September 2023.

Stating that as ABB, they want to make Ankara a center of culture and art and that they continue to work in this direction, Science Affairs Department Superstructures Chief Latif Yeşil gave the following information about the ABB City Theaters and Youth Park Cultural Center, where the works are ongoing:

“As the Department of Science Affairs, we started extensive renovation works in Youth Park Cultural Center and City Theatres. Here we have a comprehensive renovation of the backstage and rehearsal rooms used by the artists. We are also modernizing the ticket booths. We will complete our work and prepare the centers for the new theater season.”
