Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which rearranged the city shores in order to strengthen the relationship of the people of Izmir with the sea, put the viewing terrace in Konak into use.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented the designs that will provide more effective, efficient and functional use of the city shores with the “İzmir Seashore Design” project, finally offered the viewing terrace near the Konak Ferry Terminal to the use of the citizens. Designed mainly with wooden materials in harmony with coastal aesthetics, the space has an area of 161 square meters with a viewing terrace.
Public spaces are at the service of the citizens again
The viewing terrace, which was designed considering its unique location with a view of the city on one side and the bay on the other, was shaped over a stepped section profile that allows you to have a pleasant time against the view of the Gulf by applying thermal wood coating on the steel construction. Observation terraces offer a public space that existed in the memory of the city, but which has sunk into oblivion, once again for the use of the citizens.
