Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is organizing a commemoration event on the 121st anniversary of the birth of Nâzım Hikmet Ran. The works of Nazım Hikmet and Yannis Ritsos will be performed at the event to be held on Sunday, January 15 at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality City Archive, Museums and Libraries Branch Office is organizing a special event for Nâzım Hikmet Ran's 121st birthday. The great poet will be remembered with the great poet Yannis Ritsos, who lived in the same period and translated Nâzım's poems into Greek. The event, which consists of poetry and bilingual songs, will be held free of charge at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center on Sunday, January 15 at 20.00:XNUMX.

Artists are participating

In the event to be held under the name of "Nâzım-Ritsos Meeting", the works of two great literary figures, one Turkish and the other Greek, who had to face the challenges of the age and were similarly sentenced to exile and prison due to their thoughts, will be performed together.

The event is organized in cooperation with Nâzım Hikmet Culture and Arts Foundation, Intercultural Art Association, 21st Century International Cultural Federation and İZELMAN.
