Sustainability in the Poultry Meat Industry Will Draw at the 6th International Poultry Meat Congress

The 6th International Poultry Meat Congress (UBEK) organized by the Poultry Meat Industrialists' and Breeders' Association (BESD-BIR) will be held in Antalya between 1-5 March 2023. For the sixth time, the Congress brings together respected scientists who have become a worldwide authority on their subjects.

Poultry Meat Industrialists' and Breeders' Association (BESD-BIR), which represents the white meat industry at the highest level, is holding the "International Poultry Meat Congress", the largest and most important congress held with international participation, for the sixth time in 30, when it celebrates its 2023th anniversary.

Turkey's white meat sector, which ranks 10th in the world in its production, is preparing to move to the next level in environmentally friendly and sustainable production practices in order to provide a healthier planet in the new world order. In order to reach these developments, the sector; makes investments, closely follows the latest technologies and scientific studies developed around the world, and undertakes the mission of bringing together scientists, experts and stakeholders around the world on a common platform with the International Poultry Meat Congress, which it organizes every two years.

Having assumed the Presidency of UBEK since 2011, Prof. Dr. Necmettin Ceylan: “Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to take a break from UBEK, our biggest and most important congress held in Turkey with international participation, for about 2 years. Now, we continue our preparations intensively with the determination and motivation to continue where we left off and carry our congress to higher levels. Our goal is; To host you at the 2023th UBEK in 6 with more advanced content and a more beautiful environment.” made the statement.

Dr. Necmettin Ceylan also said, “Sustainable production and efficiency, self-sufficiency, local production and logistics service have become the most valuable issues for the white meat sector as well as for all sectors. In order to adapt quickly to the new world order, there is a need to develop different and alternative strategies. In the light of these determinations; It is very important that the white meat industry is prepared for the new normal and the future it will bring. Our aim is to plan the roadmap of the industry in the light of science by discussing the challenges, solutions and the new vision at the 6th UBEK.” made the statement.
