In his speech at the ceremony, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “We are witnessing another important day in our rail system investments, which we have developed locally and nationally in Kayseri, especially in recent years. I am very excited and happy to address you at the delivery ceremony of the first tram vehicle of our Kayseri Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent tram line.”

Expressing that one of the lines under construction is the Kayseri Anafartalar-City Hospital-Mobilyakent tram line, Minister Karaismailoğlu said:

“The length of our line in question is 6,7 kilometers, the number of stations is 11. In our project, where we laid the first rail weld on December 16, 2021 and are approaching the completion stage, we have completed our filling, concrete manufacturing, rail manufacturing, electrical and fiber optic cable processes. Signaling, landscaping and station operations continue rapidly in our project, where we have progressed by 95 percent in general. With the commissioning of this line, which will be integrated with the existing tram lines in Kayseri, we increase the length of the rail system in our city from 35 kilometers to 42 kilometers. We are also increasing the number of stations from 55 to 66. We are increasing the number of our rail system vehicles from 69 to 74.”

Karaismailoğlu, giving information about much faster, comfortable and safe trams, said, “We will reach Kayseri City Hospital, Intercity Bus Terminal, Nuh Naci Yazgan University and Furniture House in a much faster, more comfortable and safe way. While we are working hard to put our project into service, we are also producing the vehicles that will work and serve on our tram line locally in Ankara. We will deliver the first vehicle that will work in Kayseri and then we will produce 5 here. The length of our trams will be 32,7 meters, the width will be 2,65 meters, the passenger capacity will be 288 and the speed will be 70 kilometers per hour.

“WE USED NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN THE MANUFACTURING OF OUR TRAMWAYS”

Emphasizing that they prioritize the compliance with the city's needs and technical and social harmony in the new tram vehicles, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, "We have prioritized the suitability of the city's needs and its technical and social harmony in the design of our 5 tram vehicles that we are producing specifically for this line. We used new technologies in the manufacture of our trams. We used engine and motion accents that will enable the use of environmentally friendly energy. We paid maximum attention to ergonomic, comfortable and disabled-friendly designs. We have installed 3-stage super comfortable seats. We used Erciyes motifs in the seat upholstery. We made bike, scooter mounts and charging units on our trams. We used equipment that requires easy maintenance. We will put our trams, which we will start testing, into operation on our line as soon as possible.”

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they take great care to use domestic production and engineering opportunities in all projects, and said, "We hope to meet again in Kayseri soon and meet all together at the opening of our tram line," he said.

Speaking at the Delivery Ceremony of the First Tram Vehicle of the Kayseri Anafartalar-Terminal-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent Tram Line, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Local Administrations President Mehmet Özhaseki stated that Kayseri is a city that will compete with Europe and said, “Whatever can be done, our President will do it. It makes us happy to see that our deputies and mayors have achieved many things by joining arms with their will. Thankfully, at the point we've reached today, we can look at it and say why they have it and we don't have anything left," he said.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç emphasized that they are working with the aim of moving Anatolia's shining star, Kayseri, to better points in the field of transportation, as in every field, and stated that the rail system line works, which are of great importance for Kayseri, continue uninterrupted. After the speeches, a souvenir photo was taken to commemorate the day, and the cover of the first tram vehicle of the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent Tram line was unveiled by Minister Karaismailoğlu, President Büyükkılıç and Özhaseki.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, on the delivery of the first tram vehicle, said, “Our tram, which suits Kayseri, is in your presence, this is the first, we will produce 4 more of them.
