IMM's exemplary social municipality project 'Lesson Workshops' started classes in 9 districts. With the project, which was implemented to ensure that the children of Istanbul have equal opportunities, middle and high school senior students are preparing for LGS and YKS. Applications continue for workshops where participation is free.
In the workshops opened by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) to help students develop themselves and prepare for LGS and YKS, the trainings progress simultaneously with the school curricula. Applications to the workshops serving in basic branches for 8th and 12th grade students continue on the website Dersatolyeleri.ibb.istanbul. For the students who come to the classes, lectures, question solutions and question analyzes of the past term exams are made in the workshops.
FACE TO FACE LESSONS IN 11 WORKSHOPS
'Lesson Workshops', which IMM started by breaking new ground for the history of the institution, started to host students from different districts of the city. Young people from Istanbul are preparing for LGS and YKS at 9 workshops opened in 11 districts, namely Fatih, Bayrampaşa, Küçükçekmece, Sultangazi, Esenler, Eyüpsultan, Şile, Kartal and Pendik.
FREE SUPPORT ON BASIC BRANCHES
Mathematics, science, English and Turkish for 8th grade secondary school students in the workshops served by the IMM Youth and Sports Directorate; For 12th grade and graduate students, education is given in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, Turkish and literature courses. In the workshops opened with a capacity of 2 students in the classroom, the lessons are held in accordance with the school and exam curricula. Workshops are held on weekends for 102th graders and on weekdays for 8th grade and graduate students.
EDUCATIONAL COACHING FROM THE GUIDES
Psychological Counseling and Guidance (PDR) and educational mentoring support will also be provided at the İBB Course Workshops, where resources are provided free of charge to students. Expert teachers in the workshops will provide training coaching to the students by guiding them in order to prepare for the exams correctly and to study effectively and efficiently.
APPLICATIONS CONTINUE
The workshops, where applications continue within the quota, will serve with the online education platform, which has the capacity to provide training to 15 thousand students at the same time. Students will be able to access the platform with the username and login password to be given to them for education.
