Saha Expo Defense Aerospace Industry Fair (SAHA EXPO), where high-tech products and systems developed with domestic and national resources will be showcased, opens its doors. TUBITAK, Turkish Space Agency, KOSGEB, Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) and Turkish Patent and Trademark Institution (TÜRKPATENT) stands among the relevant institutions and organizations of the Ministry of Industry and Technology will host their visitors at the fair.
Defense Aviation and Space Cluster SAHA Istanbul, under the auspices of the Presidency, will exhibit the latest products of the Turkish defense, aerospace and space industry at SAHA EXPO 25, which will be held in Istanbul on October 28-2022, 2022. SAHA EXPO, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Commerce and the Presidency of Defense Industries and the main sponsorship of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, will be held in 6 halls on an area of 60 thousand square meters. SAHA EXPO, where there will be representation from 57 countries, will be held as an international defense industry specialization fair with the participation of 390 foreign and 567 domestic companies.
MUREN IS AT THE FAIR
At the fair, the "National Production Integrated Combat Management System (MÜREN)", the project of modernizing the "Combat Management System of Preveze Class Submarines" under the Naval Forces Command, developed by TÜBİTAK Informatics and Information Security Advanced Technologies Research Center (BİLGEM), will be introduced.
INTEGRATED PROCESSOR UNIT PROJECT
“OZAN”, the lightest foldable metal detector with a weight of 8 kilograms, which provides easy use with fast installation and can work for 8 hours with 1,5 AA batteries, and the Integrated Processing Unit Project realized within the scope of the National Combat Aircraft Program will also be exhibited at the fair.
FIBER OPTIC BASED ACOUSTIC SENSOR
The Fiber Optic Based Acoustic Sensor (FOTAS), which can ensure the security of military, public, private facilities, border security, oil, natural gas and water pipelines, and can perform real-time detection up to 50 kilometers, will also be among the products on display.
DETECTION SYSTEM OF CHEMICAL WARFARE SUBSTANCES IN DRINKING WATER
TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) will introduce its products such as Chemical Warfare Agents Detection System in Drinking Water, Chemical Warfare Agents Detection Device, Fuel Cell Charging System, Carbon Dioxide Captive Calipatron, Plastic Bound Explosives to the fair participants.
AMMUNITION SYSTEMS WILL BE EXHIBITED
One of the most important design offices and R&D centers in Turkey's defense industry, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey TÜBİTAK Defense Industry Research and Development Institute (SAGE) will also appear at the fair with its capabilities in ammunition technologies.
NEW WEAPON SYSTEM “KAYI”
Ammunition family "Raven", which is modular in terms of warhead, range and guidance method, low cost, suitable for multiple uses, low side damage and high hit accuracy for tactical guided ammunition needs, is in the free fall, "At-Forget, Air-Ground" ammunition class. With its features and product range, the new weapon system "Kayi", which can be used in a wide variety of manned/unmanned aerial platforms, will take place at the fair.
GUIDANCE KITS
“Bozok” and its guidance kits “Gökçe” and “KGK-SİHA-82” will also be exhibited at the fair, which provides attack capability to the unmanned aerial vehicles developed by SAGE, providing effective defense without endangering friendly elements in an asymmetrical war environment.
CAPABILITIES IN SPACE WILL BE EXPLAINED
Pardus 21, Octopus Integrated Cyber Security System, Liderahenk Central Management System, Viper Identity Management System, developed by the National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBİM), will also be introduced at the fair.
THE FIRST LOCAL AND NATIONAL GROUND OBSERVATION SATELLITE
TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute (UZAY), Turkey's first domestic and national earth observation satellite “RASAT”, “GÖKTÜRK 2”, the first domestic and national earth observation satellite with sub-meter resolution “İMECE” and TÜRKSAT, which will be the first domestic and national communication satellite. It will display the 6A.
SIGNING COOPERATION AGREEMENTS
TÜBİTAK will also sign cooperation agreements with the Turkish Space Agency, SAHA Istanbul and some companies. Experts from TÜBİTAK will give information about various products and systems in their presentations.
“SPACE PAVILION”
Turkish Space Agency (TUA) is leading a space pavilion on an area of 2022 square meters at SAHA EXPO 180. The pavilion, where the products of 14 different space and aviation organizations are exhibited, is also the first organization where SAHA Istanbul National Space Committee took part.
KOSGEB'S NEW CALL TO BE INTRODUCED
ASELSAN Nationalization Studies and KOSGEB R&D, P&D and Innovation Support Program Project Call for Proposals Ceremony will be held on the opening day of the fair. The call titled “Supporting Enterprises' R&D, P&D and Innovation and P&D Projects within the Scope of Nationalization of Defense and Electric/Hybrid Automotive Industry Needs” was prepared within the scope of ASELSAN's nationalization efforts.
PLACES AND EXCHANGE WILL BE GIVEN TO 13 BUSINESSES
After the introduction of the new call, ASELSAN and KOSGEB are entitled to be supported within the scope of the call "Supporting Enterprises in Priority Sectors for Increasing Competitive and High Value Added Production and Enterprises in the Scope of Nationalizing the Needs of the Defense Industry with R&D and Innovation and P&D Projects". Plaques and foreign currency will be given to 13 winning businesses.
TSE'S ACTIVITIES WILL BE ANNOUNCED
The stand of the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) will also take place at the fair. TSE experts will inform visitors about TSE's activities, products and systems.
TÜRKPATENT IS IN THE FAIR
At the stand of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office; Information on industrial property rights, patents, trademarks, designs and geographical indications will be given.
