Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts both to erase the traces of past flood disasters and to minimize the consequences of possible new disasters.

In this context, the Department of Science Affairs; It started culvert and stream crossing bridge works at 24 points in 201 districts.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality started the construction of culverts and stream crossing bridges in many points of the capital, especially in areas affected by floods and floods.

Within the scope of the studies; While the culverts and creek crossing bridges, which are worn out, inadequate or unusable, are being renewed, new manufacturing works are carried out in order to ensure the safety of life and property of the citizens at risky points where no precautions were taken before.

PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO RISK POINTS

While the Department of Science and Technology continues its work at 24 points in 201 districts, whose tenders have been completed, it has produced more than 35 culverts and creek crossing bridges to date.

As a result of the discoveries made in Altındağ, Ayaş, Çubuk, Haymana, Kahramankazan, Kızılcahamam and Şereflikoçhisar districts, it is aimed to complete the works in a short time at 10 points that were determined to be risky.

Stating that the works carried out in the creeks and river beds in 24 districts of Ankara were carried out with the projects approved by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI), İsmail Yıldırım, Head of Infrastructures of the Department of Engineering and Construction Construction, said: continues in various places. In this process, we aim to prevent the loss of life and property due to the disasters that occurred.” Yıldırım continued:

“We have all experienced these together, we are making our culverts with the approval of DSI in order to ensure the safety of our people in order not to experience the same things again. These will also enable us to use our future roads and transportation more actively. Considering the sensitivity of our President Mansur on this issue, the productions we have made will provide a healthier transportation for our people. More than 24 culverts have been completed in our 35 districts across Ankara, and we will have completed over 200 projected culverts and bridges in the next year.”

Upon completion of the works; While the roads in the center and districts are protected against disasters such as floods, it is aimed to prevent possible loss of life and property.
