According to the statistics of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the total number of foreign visitors increased by 9 percent compared to the first 97,96 months of the previous year and became 34 million 810 thousand 273.
According to the 9-month data published by TUIK, the total number of visitors exceeded 5 million as of September, with 436 million 626 thousand 40 foreign residents visiting our country. Turkey earned 17 billion 952 million 361 thousand dollars tourism income in the third quarter of the year. The revenue figure increased by 27,1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Turkey's tourism income in 9 months was 35 billion 28 million 540 thousand dollars in total.
In the ranking of the countries sending the most visitors to Turkey, in the first 9 months, Germany ranked first with 99,6 million 4 thousand 527 people, with an increase of 853 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, and Russia with an increase of 11,8 percent and 3 million 864 thousand 898 people. The United Kingdom (United Kingdom) took the second place, with an increase of 1952,9 percent and 2 million 817 thousand 271 people. Britain was followed by Bulgaria and Iran, respectively.
