Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer noted that within the scope of the revolving fund management of vocational and technical secondary education institutions, they achieved a 2021 percent increase in income compared to the first eight months of 243 and reached a new record by generating 2022 billion 1 million revenues in the first eight months of 75.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that, thanks to the steps taken towards the practical skills of students in vocational and technical education, as well as the legal amendments, vocational high schools continue to bear strong results both in human and economic terms. In this context, Özer stated that a record increase was achieved in the first eight months of 2021, compared to 2022, in the income obtained from productions within the scope of revolving funds in vocational education.

Revenue in the first eight months exceeded 1 billion 75 million

Emphasizing that the priority in the transformations in vocational education is to strengthen the education, production and employment cycle, Minister Mahmut Özer said: “One of the steps we took in this sense was to increase the production capacity in vocational high schools within the scope of revolving funds. Accordingly, while the total income of our vocational and technical secondary education institutions in the first eight months of 2021 was 312 million 908 thousand liras, this income reached a new record by exceeding 2022 billion 243 million liras with an increase of 1 percent in the first eight months of 75.

The highest income comes from Istanbul, Ankara and Gaziantep.

Stating that the first three provinces that generate the highest income from production are Istanbul, Ankara and Gaziantep, respectively, Minister Özer said, “Of the productions made by vocational and technical education institutions in eight months, Istanbul is 117; Ankara, 105 and Gaziantep earned more than 91 million liras in revenue. In the same period last year, Istanbul, 41; Ankara 31 and İzmir generated approximately 15 million liras in revenue.” made its assessment.

Minister Ozer; In the order of production made on the basis of schools, Gaziantep Şehit Kamil Beylerbeyi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School is the first with a production of 25 million 255 thousand liras, Hatay Dörtyol Recep Atakaş Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School is the second with a production of 22 million 90 thousand liras, and Istanbul Büyükçekmece Kumburgaz Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School is the second. He noted that he was the third with a production of 21 million 383 thousand liras.

Noting that the top three schools with the highest income in the first eight months of 2022 produced production in the fields of "food and beverage services, information technologies, electrical and electronic technology, metal technology, chemical technology, machinery technology, furniture and interior design", Özer stated that they had 256 years in food and beverage services. He stated that revenues were generated in the amount of TL 794 million, TL 207 million 487 thousand in furniture and interior design, TL 126 million 198 thousand in accommodation and travel services, TL 87 million 510 thousand in chemical technology and TL 68 million 765 thousand in information technologies. Minister Özer thanked the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education, all provincial directors, school administrators, teachers and students who successfully carried out this process.
