The countdown has begun for the 5th International “Rumkale Water Sports Festival” to be organized by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality.
Athletes from 25 countries and 13 cities will compete in dragon boats, water polo, swimming races and water polo at the festival, which will take place on September 38 in Rumkale, the pearl of the Euphrates.
In the open water swimming races, 304 athletes will compete in the categories of stars, juniors and masters. 5 water polo teams from 8 cities and 14 dragon boat teams, 29 of which are from outside the city, will fight fiercely.
AWARDS WILL FIND THEIR OWNERS
In the Dragon boat races, the 1st team won 50 thousand, the 2nd team 40 thousand, and the 3rd team 30 thousand. , the 1rd team will receive 20 thousand prizes.
In open water swimming races, athletes will compete in the Grand Master Women / Men, Star Girls / Men, Junior Women / Men Grand Master Women / Men categories and receive prizes between 2500 and 7000 TL.
Paralympic national swimmer Sevilay Öztürk will perform a show swimming at the festival, where various water shows are held, while national swimmer Merve Tuncel, who is the world champion for the 4th time, will attend as the guest of honor.
Famous phenomena such as Süleyman Atlı, Mert Karakaş, Burak Tutal, Orçun Gökay Dalaslan, Kadir Doğubakar, İbrahim Hayta, Zeynep Tural will come together with the athletes at the festival.
