Applications for the new term have started for the scholarships given by the Metropolitan Municipality to university students in the last term through Bursa Development and Education Cooperative. The Metropolitan Municipality, which has made important investments in all levels of education, from pre-school education to lifelong learning with BUSMEK, with its Mother's Hug, started scholarship support for university students by realizing the first in Bursa last year. The Metropolitan Municipality, which established the Limited Liability Bursa Development and Education Cooperative, whose short name is 'BURSKOOP', gave a monthly scholarship of 3 TL to 500 thousand students. The number of university students who will benefit from the scholarship opportunity 'on high demand' has been increased to 5 thousand this year, and scholarship applications have been started. University students who want to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the Metropolitan Municipality will be able to apply at burs.bbbgenclikkulubu.com until 14 October. Students whose applications are approved will receive a monthly scholarship of 8 TL for 500 months from BURSKOOP.

Application of high school students in October

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality broke new ground again in the 2022-2023 education period and expanded its scholarship support 'to include vocational high school students'. In order to encourage vocational high schools to meet the need for intermediate staff, especially in the industrial city of Bursa, 5 thousand vocational high school students will be given a monthly scholarship of 300 TL this year. From scholarship support; Vocational high schools in electrical-electronics, machinery and design, informatics, food and beverage services, metal, motor vehicles, fashion design, industrial automation, furniture and interior design, textile, accommodation and travel services, food, printing, plastics, agriculture, metallurgy, Students who prefer rail systems, shipbuilding, biomedical equipment, graphics and photography, animal breeding and health, construction, chemistry, laboratory services, installation and air conditioning, aircraft maintenance, renewable energy, and patient and elderly services departments will be able to benefit. Scholarship applications of vocational high school students will be made at burs.bbbgenclikkulubu.com between 7-16 October. Thus, the Metropolitan Municipality will have given scholarships to 10 thousand students in total this year.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that Turkey's most important wealth is the young population and that the investment made in the youth is made in the future of the country. Expressing that they aim to contribute to the university youth and their families with the scholarship support they initiated last term, Mayor Aktaş said, “We received very positive feedback from our youth and their families. When we saw that the demand was high, we increased the number from 3 thousand to 5 thousand. Again this year, we included our students who preferred vocational high school in the scope of scholarship. We provide all the necessary support for the new generation to grow up more equipped and with experience. I wish this academic year to be full of success for our students.”
