The National Electric Train developed by TÜRASAŞ has successfully passed hundreds of tests such as speed and braking carried out in accordance with European Standards. The National Electric Train Set, which landed on the rails for its final tests, traveled 10 thousand km and toured Turkey about five times.
It is expected that the work will be completed by the end of the year on the train, which has successfully passed many different tests applied in European standards, including more than 500 brake tests.
TÜRASAŞ Sakarya Regional Manager Erdal Aba met with members of the press and gave information about the latest developments. In this context, Aba
“We traveled Turkey 5 times. The maximum operating speed of this vehicle is 160 kilometers. We covered 10 thousand kilometers with this vehicle. So we don't have any problems. So we traveled Turkey 5 times. Our vehicle is already on the rails, but hopefully by the end of the year, we plan to finish our work. Our 3 sets have been completed so far and our mass production continues.
We have produced bodies for nearly 30 National Trains so far. So this means that the production of the 6 string hull has been completed, and the production is still going on. There is no hesitation in the National Trend. Our train, which we carried out the test stages, reaches a speed of 160 kilometers in 153 seconds in total. And, as per the standards, it can reduce its maximum speed to zero at a distance of one thousand meters. Final tests are being carried out on our train, and we plan to complete our work within a 3-month period.”
In addition, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced the good news on his social media account. Karaismailoğlu said, “The National Electric Train has traveled 10 thousand km! It is our domestic national pride, designed to meet cruising safety, passenger satisfaction and comfort at a high level!” used the phrases.
