In order to ensure that hazelnuts are produced efficiently and added value from hazelnuts, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, who has implemented various projects in Ordu, Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler ensures that the traditional story of hazelnut is passed on to future generations with the hazelnut museum. In the historical mansion, which was converted into a museum with the initiatives of President Güler, the difficult journey of the hazelnut from the garden to the consumer is conveyed to the visitors step by step.

HISTORICAL MANSION TURNED INTO A MUSEUM

The historical three-storey Hero Sağra Mansion in Selimiye District of Altınordu district of Ordu was built by the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. It was first restored with the attempts of Mehmet Hilmi Güler. With the support of the local people, the items used in hazelnut farming were brought together, and the historical mansion began to be used as a hazelnut museum.

EVERY DETAIL FROM SOIL TO MANUFACTURER

The process from planting to production, from harvesting to processing and transportation of hazelnuts is explained to local and foreign tourists visiting the museum, where the difficult journey of hazelnut is narrated with materials. While visitors have the opportunity to see each stage step by step in this museum, they can also get detailed information about hazelnuts.

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality aims to transfer the place of hazelnut in traditional life to future generations with this museum.

THE MUSEUM IS OPEN TO VISITORS EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK

Located in Selimiye District of Altınordu district, the Hero Right Hazelnut Museum is open to visitors between 8.00 and 17.00 on weekdays and between 9.00 and 18.00 on weekends. Entry to the museum is free.
