One of the symbols of the vision of the city, Tokat Airport has become a permanent air border gate open to international entrances and exits.
A new one has been added to the air border gates in Turkey for uninterrupted international trade, travel and transportation. Tokat Airport has been determined as a "permanent air border gate open to international entrances and exits" by the Presidential Decision. Thus, the number of civil airports, which are permanent air border gates, increased to 40. In addition, there are 13 airports with the status of temporary air border gates.
The decision published in the Official Gazette dated September 15, 2022 and numbered 31954 with the signature of our President is as follows; “The determination of Tokat Airport as a permanent air border gate open to international entrances and exits has been decided in accordance with Article 5682 of the Passport Law No. 1.”
Tokat Airport, which was opened on March 25 with the presence of our President, has served 14 passengers since the day it opened (September 54.348). One of the most beautiful projects of our aviation, which has experienced its golden age in the last 20 years and has become a world brand, 14 aircraft traffic took place until 733 September.
