The Metropolitan Municipality has started to work on the construction of a pedestrian overpass that will provide access to the new Kocaeli Provincial Police Department service building, which has been completed on Başiskele D-130 Highway New Gölcük Road, and a stop pocket where public transportation vehicles can stop and leave. Within the scope of the overpass construction, 16 foundation piles have been driven.
FLOOR ASPHALT COATING
For the overpass to be constructed with a length of 44 meters and a width of 3 meters, a 283 meter long side road stall pocket will be made. 1000 cubic meters of concrete, 6 tons of iron, 250 tons of steel, 160 tons of asphalt, 125 tons of plant mix foundation, 165 thousand 650 square meters of parquet and 755 meters of curbs will be used in the overpass construction works where 2 cubic meters of excavation and 670 thousand 730 cubic meters of filling will be made. The 220 square meter floor of the overpass will be asphalt coated.
PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS AND STOP POCKET
The new overpass, which will be constructed as a steel construction with a length of 44 meters and a width of 3 meters, is being built on the D-130 Highway. The steel construction pedestrian overpass, which will have 283 elevators, was designed as a single span with legs at the beginning and end. With the pedestrian overpass and stop pocket, the construction of which has started, will facilitate the citizens' access to the new police headquarters building.
SIDE ROADS AND PARKING PARK BUILT
On the Yeni Gölcük Road of Başiskele D-130 Highway, the 3 kilometer side roads of the Kocaeli Provincial Police Department Service Building and the 14 thousand square meter parking lot were also built by the Metropolitan Municipality.
