Construction of Pedestrian Overpass Started in Kocaeli to Ormanya

The construction of the overpass that will provide pedestrian access to the natural life park in Kocaeli's Kartepe district and to Ormanya, Turkey's most important nature tourism destination, has started. 16 foundation piles will be driven on the overpass where foundation pile driving works have started. The pedestrian overpass will be built in an aesthetic appearance with flowers and tree trunk covering in accordance with the Ormanya concept.

47,5 METERS LENGTH

The 47,5 meter long pedestrian overpass, the construction of which was started by the Department of Science Affairs, will provide pedestrian access to Ormanya over the D-100. The columns of the overpass will be concrete and the main beam will be steel construction and reinforced concrete slab. In terms of visual richness, flowers will be planted in the pots to be placed on the bridge, and the overpass columns will be made in the form of tree trunk cladding.

FOUNDATION PILES ARE FILLED

A new one is added to the overpasses that provide safe transportation of pedestrians without disrupting the traffic, which is an important part of the sustainable transportation movement. The overpass, which will provide pedestrian traffic from the D-100 to Ormanya by the Metropolitan, is planned to be completed in 180 days. When the overpass, where foundation pile driving works are started, is completed, it will provide safe transportation to the citizens via the D-100 with its visual harmony suitable for Ormanya.
