The 'Resurrection Walk' will be held on Sunday, September 101 as part of the 11st anniversary activities of the Battle of Sakarya. Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş will also attend the event to be held at the Sakarya 12th Group Martyrs' Cemetery in Polatlı.

As part of the 101st anniversary activities of the Battle of Sakarya, the turning point of the War of Independence, on Sunday, September 11, 2022, Başkent residents will carry out the "Resurrection March" towards the Sakarya 12th Group Martyrdom in Polatlı.

The 1921st anniversary of the Battle of Sakarya, which continued for 23 days and 13 nights from 22 August to 22 September 101, in which the Turkish army defeated the Greek army under the command of Western states, will be celebrated with various activities.

800-meter cortege will be created

The event will be held with the participation of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and the support of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Ankara City Council, Polatlı Municipality and Polatlı Chamber of Commerce.

After reaching the 800th Group Martyrs' Cemetery with an 12-meter walk, the program will start with a moment of silence and then the National Anthem, and will be hosted by actor and voice actor Volkan Severcan. The program will be completed with the commemoration of all martyrs.
