10 fully electric vehicles produced by the Chinese company left the Haitong Pier in Shanghai yesterday to be exported to European countries. Vehicles produced by Chinese SAIC Motor for global markets are expected to be sold to more than 80 countries.

Guo Shougang, an official from the Ministry of Industry and Informatics of China, noted that the rapid growth of China's new energy vehicle exports has also accelerated the transition to electric vehicles in the global automotive industry.

According to the latest data released by the China Automobile Manufacturers Association, the number of new energy vehicles exported by China in the first eight months of the year reached 341 units. The contribution rate of new energy vehicle exports to total automobile exports accounted for 26,7 percent.
