Excitement Continues at Beach Volleyball World Championship

In the FIVB Under-19 Beach Volleyball World Championship, our two teams competing in men managed to get out of their groups.

Our two teams continue on their way in the FIVB Under-19 Beach Volleyball World Championship, organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality with the cooperation of Dikili Municipality, Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) and International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) with the sponsorship of AXA Sigorta. Our representatives Bahadır Utku Kesgin-Furkan Ramazan Kaplan and Sacit Kurt-Ahmet Can Tür duo managed to get their names written in the next round in the championship, which will continue until Sunday, September 19, where the world's best athletes under the age of 18 compete.

On the second day of the championship, Bahadır Utku Kesgin-Furkan Ramazan Kaplan duo defeated the Italian Armellini-Acerbi duo 2-0 in their last match in the group and finished the series in second place. Sacit Kurt-Ahmet Can Tür duo lost 2-0 to Kazakhstan's Ryukhov-Todorov and finished third in the group.

Farewell to our female athletes

Ecem Aksoy-Doğa Öcal duo, who could not start the series well in women's, lost 2-0 to Denisse-Fio from Paraguay, and Su Nowm-Ceylin Sayar duo from Czechia to Pavelková duo with the same scores. With these results, our two women's teams took the last place in their groups and said goodbye to the championship. Thus, we did not have a women's team in the FIVB Under-19 Beach Volleyball World Championship.

In the championship, on Saturday, September 17, the last 24, the last 16 and quarter-finals for men and women will be played, and on Sunday, September 18, the semi-finals, third place and final matches will be played for men and women.
