Applications to IMM Technology Workshops Start

IMM Technology Workshops, implemented by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with Boğaziçi University, will accept new term students. Exams will be held on September 24 and 25 for the new term training in the workshops. Exam applications will start on 5 September on the website Teknolojiatolyeleri.ibb.istanbul. This year, 320 students will be able to participate in the studies.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) opened IMM Technology Workshops last year to train individuals who produce and develop technology. At the workshops established within the IMM Directorate of Youth and Sports, trainings that form the basis of technology production are given to children and young people living in Istanbul. The workshops ensure that talents in this field are discovered and revealed, children and young people are encouraged to produce technology and the appropriate ground is prepared for this.

EXAM APPLICATIONS STARTING ON SEPTEMBER 5

In the 2021-2022 academic year, 355 students were included in the trainings at the IMM Technology Workshops. At the end of the 8-month training, the students graduated from the workshops and received their participation certificates. Exams will be held on September 2022 and 2023 to determine the students who will participate in the workshops for the 24 - 25 academic year. In the exam, students' Turkish, mathematics and science lessons, as well as algorithms and students' problem-solving skills will be evaluated. Applications for the exam will be made on the website of Teknolojiatolyeleri.ibb.istanbul as of September 5th. Applications from 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th grade students will be accepted for the exam. Students whose applications are approved will be notified of the exam venue and time via SMS.

THEY WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE 8-MONTH WORK PROGRAM

1320 students will be accepted to the workshops this year. Students who are entitled to participate in the technology trainings to be given by 48 instructors will be included in the study programs within the framework of the training calendar and the groups to be formed. Within the scope of the curriculum created by Boğaziçi University in IMM Technology Workshops, 4 months of non-computer science activities, computer game design and development, graphic design and production trainings will be given to 5th and 4th grade students as of October. 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th grade students will be involved in programming and coding, mobile application development, graphic design, artificial intelligence, robotic applications and project development trainings for 8 months.

Technology trainings given in cooperation with IMM and Boğaziçi University; IMM Fatih Ali Emiri Cultural Center, Ümraniye Haldun Alagaş Sports Complex, Tuzla İdris Güllüce Cultural Center, Esenyurt Municipality Cultural Center, Bakırköy Cem Karaca Cultural Center, Beyoğlu Zemin Istanbul, Güngören İBB Erdem Beyazıt Cultural Center and Pendik Dolayoba.
