Guo Shougang, an official from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announced that China's robot market has grown 6 times in the last 10 years, making China the largest industrial robot market in the world. Robot production in the country grew 2015 times from 2021 to 10, reaching 366. Currently, there are more than 439 companies in China making use of robots. More than 79 thousand of these are newly registered ventures in the January-August period of this year. In the service sector, robots are widely used in areas such as catering, education, healthcare and logistics.
The industrial robot application covers 60 industrial categories of the Chinese national economy. The density of robots used in manufacturing was 2021 units per 10 people in 300. This represented a 2012-fold increase compared to 13.
Pointing out that there is a remarkable progress in the technological level of the robot industry, Guo also emphasized that significant progress has been made in the research and development of key components, including the precision of speed reducers, intelligent control systems and real-time processing systems.
On the other hand, according to Guo, the Ministry will develop standards and testing and licensing systems; strengthen weak points in special materials, core components and processing; will promote high-quality production and create a solid environment for the robot industry.
