SEDEC, hosted by the Defense and Aerospace Manufacturers Association (SASAD) Strategic Partnership and Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO); It is an organization that brings together all national and international players in the fields of Homeland Security, Border Security, Internal Security and Defense subsystems. It is an effective platform that connects the needy authorities such as the Presidency of Defense Industry, the General Directorate of Security, the Land, Air, Naval Forces, Gendarmerie General Command directly with the manufacturers, and provides the supply chain connections of the main industry manufacturers at the SME level as soon as possible.
The event, within the scope of pre-planned bilateral business meetings with purchasing delegations invited from abroad; It aims to bring foreign original equipment manufacturers and 1st and 2nd level suppliers together with SMEs and main industry companies of the Turkish defense and security industry. Within the scope of this activity; The capabilities and achievements of the Turkish defense and security industry will be introduced to foreign guests, and on the first day of the event, a conference will be held on homeland security, border security and internal security, and the supply chain of the defense industry.
Turkey's first and only Homeland Security Border Security Fair
SEDEC, the first of which was successfully held in 2018, was organized for the first time in our country in terms of its subject and format and will continue to be held every two years. It is Turkey's first and only Homeland Security Border Security Fair.
In 2018, decision makers/end-users related to purchasing military and police equipment from 39 countries were invited and brought together with Turkish Security and Defense Industry manufacturers. During the 3-day event, a conference consisting of the leading domestic and foreign speakers of the industry was held and 4200 B2B events were held on the second and third days. The second was held online on 17-20 September 2020 due to the Pandemic, high-level officials from Pakistan and Indonesia made the opening speech, 24 companies from 254 countries made 700 B2B / B2G.
In the event that took place this year, 2 companies and institutions from 3 countries successfully held 51 planned meetings for 186 days within the scope of the Fair, B5800B, Conference event, where we brought together foreign procurement committees and companies.
During three days, 4390 registered entries were made, excluding the protocol.
Bringing together the decision makers and procurement authorities of the countries with Turkish manufacturers, SEDEC also hosted Pakistan Defense Industry Production Minister, Deputy Ministers of Georgia, Georgia STC Delta President, Argentine General Staff Strategic Planning General Manager, Vietnam Deputy Chief of General Staff, Kuwait Airways. Our high-level guests such as the Commander of Defense, the Brazilian Under-Secretary of Defense, the Chief of Staff of the El Salvador Air Force, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and the Deputy Minister of Defense, the Heads of Police Service Departments and their accompanying delegations were hosted.
On the first day of the event, a conference with 28 local and foreign speakers on "Security and Space", "Border Security Technologies", "Homeland Security and Technologies", "Defense Supply Chain" and "Secure Communication" was held.
On the 2nd day of the event, a panel with 2 speakers on “Holistic Security” was held in parallel with the B2B/B5G meetings. In addition, a special “Domesticization Workshop” was held by BTK only for domestic companies.
On the 3rd day of the event, in parallel with the B2B/B2Gs, the SEDEC Start Up Days event was held, in which the in-house innovations and start-ups related to the participation of Start-Ups and Tusaş were presented. In addition, the “Investor Days” event of the Teknokent Defense Industry Cluster (TSSK) was held on the same day.
As a social program, SEDEC Gala Dinner on 28 June 2022, Ethnography Museum Trip by SASAD on 29 June 2022 and a VIP dinner were held at the same place.
