Free education for 5 children
Bringing different projects to life in Bursa for everyone from 7 to 70 years old to meet with sports and especially for the new generation to spend their free time with sports, the Metropolitan Municipality continues its fun activities for children during the summer period. The 'Happy Pools Happy Children' project, which was started last summer and attracted great interest from the citizens, continued this summer by installing portable swimming pools in 5 school gardens in 5 districts. As part of the project, portable swimming pools were installed in the garden of İnönü Secondary School in Osmangazi, Ahmet Uyar Primary School in Nilüfer, Gülhanım Karasu Primary School in Yıldırım, İkbal-Betül Ali İhsan Çilingiroğlu Secondary School in Mudanya and Martyr Mehmet Koray Pınar Secondary School in Gemlik. During the term, free basic swimming training will be given to 3 thousand children aged 6-13, consisting of 5 different groups, accompanied by 'expert trainers'. The trainings, which started on July 18, will continue until August 31.

Expressing that they have made investments such as sports halls, football fields and swimming pools in 17 districts, Mayor Aktaş said, “Besides, we are opening our swimming pools in different parts of the city with the 'Happy Pools, Happy Children' project. It makes us happy to be a partner in the happiness of our children and their families. More than 5000 children benefit from this activity in our different school gardens in Osmangazi, Nilüfer, Yıldırım, Mudanya and Gemlik.
