Turkish Aviation and Space Industry is making another big investment to carry out radar cross-sectional area tests needed for other unique platforms developed, especially for the National Combat Aircraft. With its capacity and capability, Turkey's largest and the world's 5th largest radar cross-sectional area test facility is expected to start its operations in the second quarter of 2024.

The Radar Cross Section Test Facility, designed to detect the visibility and size of the National Combat Aircraft on radar, will be one of the most modern facilities in the world with its state-of-the-art infrastructure. The facility, which will contribute to the design studies of the platform, will also determine the amount of reflection of radar signals, which are electromagnetic waves. Thus, as a result of the tests carried out, the low visibility feature of the National Combat Aircraft on radar will be verified.

Expressing his views on Turkey's largest radar cross-sectional area test facility in terms of platform size and measurement accuracy it supports, Turkish Aerospace Industries General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil said, “We continue to make big investments in aviation that will save our country from foreign dependency. In this context, the radar cross-sectional area, which we will start to build in the near future, will be one of the most advanced facilities in the world with its technology. Thus, we will carry out another important test for our National Combat Aircraft platform in our country with national resources. To contribute to the independent aviation ecosystem of our country
