TURKSTAT Announced! July Inflation Rate Was 2.37 Percent

TURKSTAT announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures for July 2022. Accordingly, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 79.60 percent annually and 2.37 percent monthly. Producer Price Index (PPI), on the other hand, increased by 144.61 percent annually and 5.17 percent monthly.

The main group that showed the least increase compared to the same month of the previous year was communication with 25,79%. On the other hand, the main group with the highest increase compared to the same month of the previous year was transportation with 119,11%.

In terms of main expenditure groups, the main group that showed the least increase in July 2022 compared to the previous month was transportation with -0,85%. On the other hand, in July 2022, the main group with the highest increase compared to the previous month was health with 6,98% (indices, weights and change rates according to main expenditure groups are in Annex Table-1).

In July 2022, out of 144 main headings covered in the index (Individual Consumption Classification by Purpose-COICOP 5), the index of 10 main headings decreased, while the index of 6 main headings remained unchanged. There was an increase in the index of 128 basic titles.

Special CPI indicator (B) was 68,46% annually, 3,49% monthly
