Today we opened a banner in front of the Brazilian Embassy in Ankara and warned. We said, 'This ship will not come to Izmir. The ship is on its way, it is expected to arrive in Izmir in probably 30-40 days. But we will continue to do our best not to let this ship into Izmir. Izmir is not the garbage dump of the world. We will do many actions during these 30-40 days. Together we will protect İzmir, which we love as much as we can. They will go as they came," he said.

“They want to make İzmir the junkyard of the world”

CHP Deputy Chairman Ali Öztunç criticized the government in his speech and said, “They want to make İzmir the world's garbage dump and junkyard. Will you allow this? Izmir will not be the junkyard of the world. We should not let that ship into Izmir or Aliaga. Just as the people of Izmir sent someone as they came, they know how to send that ship and the person who brought that ship as they came.

“People's mind, conscience and logic do not take away”

Musician Cahit Berkay, on the other hand, said that they would not allow the country to turn into a garbage dump, and said, “The Bronze President takes a stance against that mentality that has turned our country into a garbage dump.
