HDP's Aysel Tuğluk, who was diagnosed with dementia and had health problems, was released.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) former Co-Chair Aysel Tuğluk has been released from the Kobani Case against which she is on trial.

CHP Istanbul Deputy Sezgin Tanrıkulu said, "A decision has been made to release my colleague, politician Aysel Tuğluk, who has been in Kandıra F Type Prison since 2016 and was diagnosed with dementia in 2021. In his presence, seriously ill detainees should be released immediately.”

In the decision published at night, it was stated that “... The suspect Aysel Tuğluk was interrogated and it was understood that the judicial control provisions would be sufficient at this stage, and that he could not go abroad in accordance with the CMK's 109/3-a, and that he was released by applying judicial control measure, that he was not detained or convicted of any other crime. Otherwise, the penitentiary institution where he is located will write a warrant for his immediate release…” expressions were used.

THE STATE OF ARREST WILL CONTINUE

Lawyer Cahit Kırkazak said, “Aysel Tuğluk, who was on trial in the #KobaniKumpas Case, has been released. However, since #AyselTuğluk is still convicted in another file, unfortunately, the imprisoned state will continue for now. #AyselTuğlukİçinJustice” made the statement.

HDP's former Co-Chair Aysel Tuğluk, who has been imprisoned in Kocaeli No. 2016 Type F since December 1, was convicted for her press statements and political activities while she was acting.
