President Soyer Met with the Members of the Konak Headmen's Association

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyermet with the members of the Konak Muhtars Association. Mayor Soyer said that it is the headmen who know the neighborhoods and their residents best, and said, "Together, we will serve the people of Izmir much better."

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerhosted Zafer Çam, the president of the newly established Konak Muhtars Association, and the members of the association. During the meeting at İzmir Sanat, President Soyer said, “I am so impressed with your cooperation that I am really happy about this situation. Everything happens in unity. You are the best example of this. This togetherness gives us the determination to work harder. When you do good and positive business, get to know the people closely, the right job meets the right people. This is how we will spread democracy all over Turkey. Democracy is not achieved by voting or going to the polls every 5 years. You are the ones who know that neighborhood and its inhabitants best. Good luck to you. Together, we will serve the people of Izmir much better.”

Joining forces under the umbrella of the association

Stating that there are 49 members of the Konak Headmen's Association, Zafer Çam, the President of the Association, said, “We are the headman of 111 neighborhoods in Konak. Success passes through local governments, and as long as there is unity and solidarity, things are going well. Our whole aim is to combine our strength and to provide better service”.
