A female driver working under the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate was verbally and physically attacked on the grounds that she did not take passengers outside the stop. The female driver of the bus operating on the Konak-Halkapınar Metro 2 (253) line under the ESHOT General Directorate was battered by a male passenger in the vehicle. In the incident that occurred in the morning hours, the driver took off after picking up passengers from BA Alsancak Train Station. At this time, the red light was on for the vehicles. There were those who wanted to get on the bus waiting for the green light to come on, but the driver BA did not open the door because it was forbidden to protect passenger and traffic safety.

Meanwhile, the passengers GY asked the driver to open the door and when he got a negative response, he insulted the driver. Thereupon, BA pulled the bus to a suitable location and asked for help from the ESHOT Driver Support Line. While waiting for the police, the suspect, who increased the dose of verbal attack, suddenly broke the driver's protection door and punched the woman driver. In the brawl, driver BA was injured in his left eye and arm. Intervention by other passengers on the bus prevented further injury. The police, who arrived at the time of the incident, took the suspect into custody on charges of intentionally injuring and damaging public property. The driver BA, who burst into tears with the shock of the incident, received a report of assault and filed a complaint against the suspect.
