6.6 million people used the airline during the holiday

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that 10 million 6 thousand passengers preferred the air route during the 678-day Eid al-Adha holiday and said, "More than 3 million passengers were served at Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport."

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced the number of people who preferred the airline during the Eid al-Adha holiday. Noting that between 8-17 July, the aircraft traffic in Turkey was 17 thousand 108 on domestic routes and 26 thousand 708 on international routes, he noted that the total number of landing and take-off aircraft traffic was 43 thousand 816.

Underlining that there was a passenger density at the airports during the holiday, Karaismailoğlu said, "A total of 2 million 441 thousand passengers traveled by plane, 4 million 237 thousand on domestic flights and 6 million 678 thousand on international lines."

MORE THAN 3 MILLION PASSENGER PASSENGERS TRAVEL IN ISTANBUL

Pointing out that Istanbul Airport, which is among the mega projects of Turkey and attracts attention with the awards it has received, conveyed a total of 3 thousand 617 aircraft traffic, 9 thousand 764 on domestic lines and 13 thousand 381 on international lines, Karaismailoğlu said, “At Istanbul Airport, which is called no one can fly from there; passenger traffic was 562 thousand 435 in domestic lines and 1 million 597 thousand in international lines. In total, 2 million 159 thousand passengers preferred Istanbul Airport. At Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport; Aircraft traffic taking off and landing was 2 on domestic lines, 817 thousand 3 on international lines, and 5 in total. Passenger traffic amounted to 5 thousand 822 on domestic lines, 472 thousand 368 on international lines, and 461 thousand 169 in total.

24 PASSENGERS SERVED AT RİZE-ARTVİN AIRPORT

Pointing out that Ankara Esenboğa Airport, where 1824 aircraft traffic takes place, serves a total of 249 thousand 324 passengers, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu stated that a total of 141 thousand 485 passengers travel at Trabzon Airport. Noting that 64 thousand 389 passengers at Gaziantep Airport and 81 thousand 856 passengers at Kayseri Airport traveled by plane, Karaismailoğlu stated that 24 thousand 364 passengers were served at Rize-Artvin Airport, which was opened this year, and 3 passengers at Tokat Airport.

1 MILLION 668 THOUSAND PASSENGERS FLY FROM ANTALYA AIRPORT

Underlining that the number of domestic passengers is 190 thousand 789 and the number of international passengers is 1 million 477 thousand at Antalya Airport, which broke the record after the Eid al-Adha holiday, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu noted that a total of 1 million 668 thousand passengers traveled. Karaismailoğlu said, “324 thousand 700 passenger traffic was realized at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, 259 thousand 296 at Muğla Dalaman Airport and 226 thousand 355 at Muğla Milas-Bodrum Airport”.

Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu pointed out that with the investments made, they made the airline the way of the people and said, “We brought our citizens to their loved ones quickly and comfortably during the Eid-al-Adha holiday. We put Rize-Artvin Airport and New Tokat Airport into service just this year. As it has been for 20 years, we will continue to serve our people non-stop. Our investments will not slow down," he said.
