NEW PROJECT IS PREPARED

TCDD applied for an environmental impact assessment (EIA) on 1 June to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change for its new project. It is stated that the cost of the new project, which is stated to be built on a land of 40 thousand square meters, has increased to 253 million 716 thousand TL.

PROJECT CHANGED COMPANY HAS NOT CHANGED

An agreement was made with Fıratcan İnşaat for the new Söğütlüçeşme project of TCDD. Sefa Özçelik, son of State Supervisory Board Member Abdurrahman Özçelik, is on the company's board of directors. According to the information in the Trade Registry Gazette, Sefa Özçelik owns 49 percent of the company. 51 percent of the company is owned by Akfen Real Estate Investment Trust. It was not disclosed how much rent the company will pay to TCDD. Abdurrahman Özçelik was appointed as a member of the State Supervisory Board in 2012 by former President Abdullah Gül.

108 COMMERCIAL AREAS ARE INCLUDED IN THE NEW PROJECT

In the old project, it was announced that the shopping mall station project will consist of 7 blocks, 76 shops and offices, while TCDD's new Söğütlüçeşme project will include 108 commercial areas. Along with the project, a 600-meter-long rail line will be built next to the existing rail lines and a 200-meter-long platform will be built on this rail line. It was also announced that there are 52 trees in the project area.
