An approach that focuses on technology in health and mobility is being implemented. In these two areas, road maps have been prepared that will carry Turkey to 2030. The circular on Technology Roadmaps, prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology with the participation of relevant stakeholders, in order to reflect the future vision of our country, was published in the Official Gazette. In the circular signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it was stated that road maps will guide the transformation of domestic and national products and technologies.

THE LEVEL OF COMPETITION WILL INCREASE WITH NEW MODELS

In the circular; It was stated that in the health and mobility sectors, which are witnessing a great transformation on a global scale, new service models can be developed to meet the challenges such as the increase in population and limited resources.

In the circular, which is noted that the rapid development and spread of technology enables personalized, participatory and preventive solutions and systems to be offered in these two areas, “Within the framework of this transformation and opportunities; structural reforms and regulations to be made in the health and mobility sector, under the effective coordination of stakeholders, with technology-oriented cooperation; It will increase the competitiveness of our country, which exports a large part of its production to Europe.” it was said.

In the circular, it was emphasized that the "2023 Industry and Technology Strategy" was prepared with the vision of "Turkey, which is a pioneer in the digitalizing world, producing high technology and added value", and "Mobility Vehicles and Technologies Strategy Roadmap to guide the work started and to guide the domestic and national product and technology transformation. WILL BE PUBLISHED ON THE MINISTRY SITE

In the circular, which is reported to be published on industry.gov.tr ​​for road maps covering the years 2022-2030, all kinds of support and assistance that may be needed in the studies to be carried out within the scope of "Mobility Vehicles and Technologies Strategy Roadmap" and "Smart Life and Health Products and Technologies Roadmap" will be provided by the relevant institution. It was emphasized that the issue should be fulfilled sensitively by the institutions and organizations”.

MOBILITY VEHICLES AND TECHNOLOGIES

In the “Mobility Vehicles and Technologies Roadmap” that entered into force with the circular; For the years 2022-2030, 46 short, medium and long-term strategic goals, 184 policies and actions were determined. With the roadmap that aims to make Turkey a global center of attraction in the production of electric, connected and autonomous vehicles and technologies, it aims to make our country a pioneer in the mobility sector, where actors and rules are redefined by further strengthening its capabilities in automotive, shipbuilding, unmanned aerial vehicles and rail systems.

LEADERSHIP IN EUROPE TOP 5 IN THE WORLD

Important targets were also set forth in the roadmap created. In this context; Necessary work will be carried out to become the leader in light and heavy commercial vehicle production in Europe, to be in the top 5 in the world and to become a regional battery production center by increasing the local rate of mobility in mobility vehicles. Also on the roadmap; There are a total of 9 critical projects such as “Establishment of Mobility Software and Hardware Development Center”, “Development and production investment of battery module and package and sub-components” and “One or more companies investing in battery cells through joint or licensing”. .

SMART LIFE AND HEALTH PRODUCTS AND TECHNOLOGIES

Within the scope of the "Smart Life and Health Products and Technologies Roadmap", another roadmap included in the circular, 2022 strategic goals, 2030 strategic goals, 9 policies and action plans and 4 critical project proposals were determined for the years 28-5. With the roadmap, in order to further strengthen the competencies of our country in the pharmaceutical and medical device sector, the number of initiatives in the field of health, the ratio of exports to imports in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, the rate of production on the basis of boxes and value in the pharmaceutical sector, the share of domestic manufacturers in the medical device market and the share of medical devices. and it is aimed to increase the number of drug patent applications.

HIGH-TECH PRODUCTS

With the "Smart Life and Healthcare Products and Technologies Roadmap" and the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic; Domestic and national capabilities in strategic areas will be increased, preventive and personalized health technologies will contribute to savings in health expenditures, and the share of high-tech products in total exports will be increased. In this direction, on the roadmap; There are a total of 5 critical projects such as "Critical/Strategic Biotechnology Production Project", "Establishment of the National Health Technologies Evaluation Institution" and "Creation of the National Omix Platform".
